The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region.

Goals & Objectives

TiE Global is a nonprofit venture devoted to entrepreneurs in all industries, at all stages, from incubation, throughout the entrepreneurial lifecycle. With a global reach and a local focus, the heart of TiE efforts lies in its five foundational programs, – Mentoring, Networking, Education, Funding, and Incubation.

Several members have formed startups while at TiE, and are now charter members giving back to the community. TiE’s ultimate goal is to foster entrepreneurship, creating wealth for both the entrepreneur and the local communities.

  • Mentoring for supporting Entrepreneurship
  • Network with other TiE chapters and members across the world
  • Build an eco-system connecting the entrepreneurs and investors
  • Drive the social entrepreneurship in the region in association with Vadodara Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Federation of Gujarat Industries, Central Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Baroda Management Association, BNI, EXIM Club etc.
  • Developing an interface to support entrepreneurship through a platform of guidance by leading entrepreneurs to budding entrepreneurs
  • Funds support: Venture funds can serve as lifeline for entrepreneurs with innovative concepts and will to transform concept to project, through this platform TiE Vadodara will act as a facilitator for bringing venture funds to the region.
  • Second line of leadership: second generation of entrepreneurs are critical in taking prestigiously built up businesses to a new peak, however there is a need of linking the family developed businesses to new technologies and market trends for cutting the competition and reaching the desired growth. TiE Vadodara can serve as the connecting bridge amongst these young generation of entrepreneurs.
  • Exposing and promoting entrepreneurship among students (collaborating with Institutions and its incubators in the region)
  • TiE Vadodara aims to support not only start-ups but also help the existing small and micro units to scale up. Being a city of business, there are many HNIs, who may be willing to invest in futuristic start-ups. TiE Vadodara will create a platform to bring both these groups together to boost innovation and entrepreneurship in the city.

    Since 1992. TiE has been supporting entrepreneurs by offering education, mentorship, networking and funding opportunities. The mission of TiE is to foster entrepreneurship globally through the 5 pillars of TiE : mentoring, networking and education, funding and incubation. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community. TiE’s focus area is to generate enable the next generation of entrepreneurs.

    The foremost and most widely known event that TiE hosts is TiEcon, which is the largest professional and networking conference for entrepreneurs. TiE also hosts a wide range of programs events catering to various industry verticals, educational events hosted by TiE Institute, TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) program to foster entrepreneurship in our youth, and TiE Women’s Forum for empowering women entrepreneurs.

    Besides its flagship event, TiECon – the largest professional conference for entrepreneurs, TiE now has a wide range of programs including Special Interest Groups (SIGs), TiE Institute, Deal Flow Meetings, TiE Young Entrepreneurs, and, most recently, TiE Women’s Forum and CEO Forum.

    Vadodara is a hub of Manufacturing plants of several private industry players, as well as Public Sector Units (PSUs) such as Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL) and Gujarat State Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd. (GSFC), Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC), with extensive funds availability for development of Start-up and entrepreneurship in the region. District is also considered as Asia’s Electric Hub with presence of giants in the field like ABB, Siemens, Crompton and Grieves, Philips, Schneider Electric, Power Engineers etc, Vadodara holds a strong potential for budding entrepreneurs with respect to, resources, infrastructure, and leadership.

    TiE Vadodara acts as platform that supports development of innovative opportunities for the budding entrepreneurs to help them with networking, mentoring, and funding connect that their organization requires. Tie nurtures the businesses of the entrepreneurs and supports them connect with visionaries and business leaders for assistance and guidance.


    TiE was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, & senior professionals. There are currently more than 15,000 members and over 2,500 charter members in 61 chapters in 17 countries.

    Over the last 25 years of existence TiE Chapters around the world has become a vibrant platform for entrepreneurs, professionals, industry leaders, investors to interact with one another & forge long lasting relationships.
